Rich Dunn has over 36 years of management experience with companies ranging from Ford Motor Company to publicly held and privately owned businesses which encompass manufacturing, construction, transportation and student housing. Rich is currently the COO and CFO of BioEnergy Conversion, LLC, a company headquartered in Locust, NC that has a new technology that converts organic materials into gas and activated carbon. He is also the President of BEC Ohio, LLC, a privately owned company that has the rights to use the technology in Ohio.
Rich was born in Van Wert, Ohio where he lived on a farm. He and his wife, Marilyn, have been married for over 34 years. They have three children, two grandchildren and two more grandsons on the way. Rich and his wife volunteer time in their church to counsel anyone considering marriage or struggling in their marriage. Rich also volunteered to serve at the Cherry Street Mission (CSM), a place for homeless men and women that need warm meals, a place to sleep and counseling. Additionally, Rich serves on the Board at Mercy Ministries.
Rich says that his ambitions in life are three-fold: “First, I believe that it is my responsibility to build a strong foundation from which future generations of my family will build upon. Second, I am concerned about our planet and in what condition we are going to be leaving it to our grandchildren. Through the BioEnergy Conversion technology our ultimate goal is to eliminate landfills by converting municipal solid waste into clean energy. Third, I want to use a good portion of our profits to expand the impact of Mercy Ministries.”
