California Home Update

Mercy Ministries' first West Coast Home is officially open! On Saturday, November 7th, staff, residents and friends gathered together to celebrate a huge milestone in the 26 plus year journey of Mercy Ministries at the official dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony of this beautiful new residency in Lincoln, California. Following the ceremony, Buzz Oates and his entire family accompanied Nancy Alcorn, as guests gathered around for the cutting of the ribbon and to join together in a prayer of heartfelt thanks and dedication, giving all the glory to God.

Following the ribbon cutting, guests had the opportunity to tour the new home and greet other supporters at a reception inside. A big thanks to the many volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly to make this celebration a reality. Check out these pictures of the grand opening!

The first new residents entered the home on October 1, 2009. No doubt that lives will be completely transformed and we will now be able to take in 40 more girls off our waiting list and approximately 100 more girls each year. We believe God for the remaining funds needed to fully furnish the rooms of our new 22,000 square foot home. We are blessed to have the ongoing prayers and support from the community as this project continues. We also still have opportunities available for you to sponsor a room in memory or in honor of someone you love. If you would like more information, or to make a donation please email Selah Hirsch at shirsch@mercyministries.com. Check out these pictures of the first girls entering the home!

Please pray for the new girls that will be entering the California home in the next months. We are so excited for what God is doing, and we also envision a future home opening in the Los Angeles area. Thanks for sharing the joy with us!!
