Jennifer - 2003 Graduate
When I came to Mercy Ministries, I was suicidal and addicted to prescription pain pills. After the death of my brother and other hurts from my past, I tried to numb my pain with drugs. Through Mercy Ministries, I received the healing and freedom that can only come through Christ.
Today, I am happily married with two little girls, ages 9 and 2. I really want both of my daughters to know there is NOTHING they cannot achieve without the help of Jesus Christ.
I wrote a project thesis on Mercy Ministries to make others aware of how Mercy is changing lives like mine and have since graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University. I am also part of a local women’s group called WAV, Women Acting with a Vision. We have volunteered at several Mercy events including the Jeff Fischer softball tournament, Run for Mercy, and the Christmas wrapping party. I volunteer at Mercy because it is a way for me to give back to the place that saved my life. It is the very least I can do! You feel the presence of God when you walk into the building. I love that!
